Nickel-Silicon Carbide. What is it about?
When
plated cylinders become damaged, either
by wear or seizure, they require
replating with a hard wearing surface.
The
best is Nickel-Silicon-Carbide.
The
cylinder has its original plating removed, any
damage in the cylinder bore is welded and re-machined,
if the cylinder has Detonation damage around the top face
this is also welded and machined.
The
cylinder is then recoated with Nickel-Silicon-Carbide,
then hone finished to original size ,the port edges and any
bridges dressed ,the cylinder is then ready for use, better than
new..
Made your own
or bigger bore?
If
you have had a special cylinder made, or require it bored to a bigger
bore size, this is not a problem GHR can
help.
Just let us know the finished bore size you require or even send
your piston.
